What is it that artists do, is a question I frequently ask my students.  Artists create work that has meaning for them, they think, feel, plan and are open to inspiration.  Artists ask themselves questions in order to develop their ideas.  "How do I create the feeling of depth? What colors do I use to crate a feeling solitude?" These are questions I often ask myself when I paint a landscape.
